45 minute lecture: Why Healthcare Reforms Always Fail
Gary Fradin will summarize the fundamental problem facing healthcare reforms since Richard Nixon and discuss why current efforts will also fail.

After the lecture take the exam on Redefining Health Care by Michael Porter and Elizabeth Teisberg, Mass course #C92317, 26 credits. This book shows why reorganizing healthcare around value is necessary for true healthcare reform. It’s a classic in the healthcare literature.

You must read the book in advance. You will not be permitted to take the exam otherwise. Available from amazon.com.

The exam takes about 30 minutes after the lecture. Proctors provided. Graded immediately. You should be finished well before 11:00.
